Celebrating
History
Kurt Angle first opened the eyes of the world with his gold-medal
performance at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. The Pittsburgh
native made his country proud, winning the 220-pound freestyle
wrestling competition, and the extraordinarily proud Angle surely
won't let anyone forget about it!
Angle takes himself very seriously, calling himself the only
"real athlete" in the World Wrestling Federation. When
the crowd is not behind him, Kurt wonders how anyone could boo an
Olympic gold medallist.
Recently, Kurt has been seen helping Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley,
saying that she is one of few people who have _the three I's:
intelligence, integrity and intensity.
The year 2000 also brought yet another crowning achievement to
the head of Angle as he won the annual King of the Ring
Tournament against Rikishi in the finals on June 25.
